Humanity First Actions Against Hunger
International law recognises access to food and sustenance as a basic human right. However, it is a great shame and misfortune that many people in the world are suffering from hunger. They are unable to properly feed themselves or their families. Unfortunately, some people see the food we take for granted as a luxury due to war, disease, famine, or poor living conditions. The Humanity First Food Security Programme aims to remedy this issue, providing disadvantaged communities with both rations and food banks. Meanwhile, we are supporting them to begin producing their own sustainable food.
The Causes of Malnutrition Worldwide
Lack of food is a devastating and prevalent global issue. Approximately 733 million people go hungry each day. Women and children are disproportionately affected, with an astounding 45 million children suffering from acute malnutrition, almost wasting away due to a lack of food and nutrients. It must be known that these problems are not caused by a scarcity of food. There is more than enough food on the planet to feed everyone, with leftovers. The actual issues lie in inadequate infrastructure to provide people with supplies; war displacing not only people but also destroying supply lines; certain diseases contaminating food; and poor living conditions forcing many people to consume food that is not fit for human consumption.
The Concern of Food Security in Australia.

Humanity First Food Security Programme has seen vast amounts of success in this field, tackling this monumental problem headfirst. It has enabled many communities to pick themselves back up. One example is that Humanity First team heading out to Australia to prepare and distribute cooked meals for community centres all across the country. Food security remains a concern in Australia. Foodbank Hunger Reports state that as of 2024, 3.4 million homes in Australia suffer from hunger or go hungry during the year. This simply goes to show that even a developed country such as Australia suffers from issues regarding malnutrition. Therefore, food insecurity is not only a problem relegated only to third world or less developed nations. Additionally, Humanity First has been operating in other countries as well. Our aim has been and will always be to protect and serve the needs of humanity around the world. Similar to Australia, the team’s goal was to provide community centers in Mexico with proper, hot, nutritious food that they otherwise would not have had access to.
Our Initiatives During Ramadan.
During the holy month of Ramadan, Humanity First has been offering food rations to low income families in India and other different countries to those marred by poverty and deprivation. The holy month of Ramadan is a blessed time for Muslims. It’s a month when the Muslim community should be especially considerate of the hungry. Humanity First actions in these countries reflect not only the organisation’s goals but also serve as a reminder of the values of solidarity and helping those in need, not just during the sacred month of Ramadan but throughout the year.

No one should have to endure such arduous times in their lives. With your generous donations, we will be able to alleviate the pain of those who suffer while also preventing the problem from persisting for future generations. Please donate today.
