Food Security : Humanity First Foodbanks
Major cities in Europe and North America are wealthy, but mask those suffering poverty and hunger.
This can include homeless people, single parent families, those facing disability or
temporary unemployment.
Humanity First Foodbanks
Humanity First has been running a major foodbank in Concord, Ontario serving over 10,000 people in the Greater Toronto area every year. Similarly, the US team are running food pantries in 11 cities across the USA serving 70,000 meals a year, and now the UK team have set up their first foodbank in Mirfield in West Yorkshire in the summer of 2020. Our foodbanks are aiming to provide food rations for a period whilst also assisting families with guidance or training to help them out of poverty longer-term.
Food Security Programme
In other countries such as Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland, Humanity First has been supporting existing food banks and shelters. Our food security programme aims at educating and reducing malnutrition in our world. Our team mission is to aid communities to be economically sustainable to fight against hunger. We need your help and support to fight hunger and build a better world.
