Community Care

Community Care

Humanity First International’s Community Care programme is dedicated to supporting the elderly, people with disabilities, and the most vulnerable members of society, aiming to provide inclusive, supportive, and effective services to those in need.

From the homeless, to individuals suffering from poverty, to those who have been laid off from their employment, our goal is to become the pillar that people can lean on in times of need and hardship, safeguarding their wellbeing.

With your help and generosity, our charity aids these people in turning their lives around and picking themselves back up from their dire circumstances, allowing them to move on and live happy, sheltered, and community integrated lives with their families and loved ones.

Care for Elders

The elderly in our society were once the ones who held it up, bearing the brunt of its challenges. Now, however, there are fewer and fewer people to care for them, as the population of the elderly increases and conflicts with the lack of caretakers. Care homes all around the UK have been overflowing for years now, and many are not able to handle the intense workload.

In order to alleviate this, Humanity First International has been partnering with organisations such as Staywell to provide comfort, stability and safety. With the added assistance of your donations, we can supply the older generation with top of the line care and services.

Disability Support

Disabilities can take many forms, many of which are visible, but some are not as apparent to the eye as others. Humanity First International makes no distinction between disabilities, offering the same level of care and support to all who are struggling with their conditions and working to reduce disability discrimination.

In addition to providing the disabled with assistive tools and devices that can raise their quality of life to be on par with the non-disabled, Humanity First International has also started initiatives in schools. With the need for disability-inclusive education increasing more and more, Community Care is providing many resources to children with disabilities, such as installing IT labs for the visually impaired students.

Better environment

As the threat of global warming rises and becomes more apparent, the need for environmentally-friendly and sustainable initiatives becomes more and more imperative. It is the responsibility of each and every individual on the planet to care for and help the environment heal for the decades of suffering that human-actions have caused it.

Community Care is doing its part to aid the effort, with our team of trained volunteers planting trees all across the country in order to lower the carbon footprint caused by human activities.

In addition to this, ongoing street clean-up efforts have not only resulted in a cleaner place to live, but also helped protect the homes of many animals, keeping them healthy and safe to live. With your donations and volunteering, we can carry these initiatives forward for years to come, and help keep our communities clean and beautiful.

Bus Shelter

Homelessness is a prevalent issue all around the world, with millions struggling. Millions of people, who are living without adequate care and shelter. This can be especially tough in winter times, where rough sleeping can prove fatal. It is Humanity First International’s belief that everyone deserves a place to live, and to this end, we have started a Bus Shelter Initiative in Canada.

The Bus Shelter is a repurposed coach designed to house people who have nowhere else to go. Outfitted with 20 beds, a kitchen, bathrooms and Wi-Fi, it is a safe and comfortable place to sleep overnight.

The shelter has already proved successful, with it serving in 11 locations across Canada. A further 235 meals have been served aboard it, as well as over 200 homeless kits being distributed to those in need.

Reducing Unemployment

As a charity organisation, our vision is to adapt and implement a sustainable approach in all our initiatives and projects to create lasting impact. We empower local communities by creating employment opportunities, providing training, and enabling them to take ownership of the projects.

We believe that implementing sustainable approaches in our projects helps prevent the need for ongoing financial support, creates self-sufficiency, and expands their impact.

Our vision

The Community Care Programme’s main vision is a world where those in need of support are not neglected. A world where care, attention and well-being is all-inclusive. A world where the elderly, those living in poverty and those struggling with disabilities are empowered and protected. A world where homelessness is no longer a worry.

We have achieved real successes and breakthroughs in addressing the many challenges affecting society; none of it would have been possible without the support and generosity of those of you reading this. We thank you for all you have done, and humbly ask that your support remains continued as we continue to work for the community.

Restoring Communities, Building a Future

The cycle of poverty continues endlessly when there is a lack of qualifications in poor communities, and earning and development opportunities remain severely limited. The result: malnutrition, illness, lack of education, and social exclusion.

Humanity First International has introduced the Community Care Programme to provide low-cost or unsubsidized vocational training to socially disadvantaged people worldwide.

We have made a difference in the lives of tens of thousands of people who might not otherwise have been able to turn their lives around. However, many more are still in need of aid and support—making it all the more important to carry our mission forward.

Be a source of change in someone’s life and donate today.
