Humanity First Shelter Bus

In major cities in Canada, there are many homeless people suffering from poverty or mental
health issues, who are particularly vulnerable at night. So in 2019, Humanity First got hold of
a coach and repurposed it to provide a kitchenette, bathroom, Wi-Fi enabled lounge and 30
beds.

Shelter Bus Services

The new Shelter Bus has been deployed through the harsh winter months across
Toronto, but has also been deployed during the day as a focal point to distribute meals,
bottled water and hygiene kits for homeless people. At night, it has provided a safe place to
sleep, especially for youth in danger of abuse. So far the Shelter Bus has been deployed in
11 locations across the Greater Toronto area.
